For birth chart reading, marriage matching, gemstone guidance and muhurta, an online consultation is as accurate as sitting in the chamber — the chart is the same document either way. In-person matters for two things: palmistry, which needs your actual hands, and the kind of long family conversation where several people are in the room. Everything else works identically over Google Meet or a WhatsApp call. If you are in Dhaka and have the time, come to the chamber. If you are outside Dhaka, abroad, working long hours, or simply want to keep the matter private, book online without worrying that you are getting a lesser reading.
I run both, from a chamber at Hosaf Shopping Complex, Malibag Mour, and the fee is the same either way: 1,000 BDT per session, up to sixty minutes.
Which services work online, and which do not
| Service | Online | In person | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Birth chart and life reading | Yes | Yes | The chart is cast from your birth data. Nothing depends on being in the room. |
| Kundali Milan (marriage matching) | Yes | Yes | Two charts, read the same way either way. Families often prefer to attend together. |
| Dosha analysis and remedies | Yes | Yes | Chart-based throughout. |
| Gemstone guidance | Yes | Yes | The recommendation comes from the chart. Verifying a stone you already own is easier in person. |
| Muhurta (auspicious timing) | Yes | Yes | Purely calculation. Often handled entirely by message. |
| Palmistry | No | Yes | Hands need to be seen directly. Photographs lose depth, texture and minor lines. |
That is the honest split. Anyone telling you a full palm reading works properly from a phone photograph is overselling. Anyone telling you a birth chart reading is less accurate online is also overselling, in the opposite direction.
How an online consultation works here
Google Meet or WhatsApp call — your choice. Most people outside Bangladesh prefer Google Meet because the connection holds better on weak bandwidth and the screen can be shared, so you can actually see your chart while I explain it. Most people inside Bangladesh prefer WhatsApp because it is already on their phone. Both work. Audio-only is fine if you would rather not be on video.
Before the session: send your date of birth, time of birth as precisely as you can, and place of birth. If the reading concerns someone else — a spouse, a child, a business partner — send theirs too. Your chart is cast and studied before we speak, which is why the fee is paid in advance.
During: up to sixty minutes, one subject. English, Bengali or Hindi. You are welcome to record it, and I would encourage it — you will be given more than you can hold in your head.
After: a written summary and a prioritised list of what to do next, sent to you.
Payment: bKash, Nagad or bank transfer inside Bangladesh. Card or international bank transfer from abroad. The fee does not change based on where you live.
How an in-person consultation works
The chamber is at Hosaf Shopping Complex, Malibag Mour, Dhaka-1217, open Saturday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Call 01919-312385 to book a time.
Send your birth details when you book, not when you arrive — the preparation happens beforehand and it takes longer than the session itself.
Bring a notebook, and bring two or three specific written questions. “Will I be happy?” is difficult to work with. “I have been offered a job in another city and must answer by December — how does this period look for a change of that kind?” is something a chart can genuinely speak to.
If you want a palm reading, this is the visit for it.
Which one should you actually pick?
Come to the chamber if: you are in or near Dhaka and can spare the travel; you want palmistry included; the matter involves several family members who want to attend together; you have a gemstone you want examined; or you simply find it easier to talk about difficult things face to face. Many people do.
Book online if: you live outside Dhaka or outside Bangladesh; your working hours make travel impractical; you want to keep the consultation private from family; you are more comfortable in your own home when discussing a marriage or a health worry; or you want a written record without the trip.
There is no quality difference for chart work, and I would rather you booked the format you will actually turn up for than the one you think you are supposed to choose.
Consulting from outside Bangladesh
A good share of my online sessions are with Bangladeshis abroad — the Gulf, Malaysia, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia.
Two practical points. First, time zones: the chamber runs 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Bangladesh time, Saturday to Thursday, and that window covers most of the world at some reasonable hour. Say which hours suit you when you book.
Second, birth data. If you were born abroad, or your family moved, get the birth place right as well as the time — the chart is cast for a specific location and a wrong city shifts everything. A birth certificate is the best source.
What does not change between the two
The preparation. The chart is cast and studied before you arrive or dial in — divisional charts, the dasha sequence, current transits. That work is the same whether you are in the chair or on a screen.
The fee. One price, every service, both formats: 1,000 BDT, up to sixty minutes, paid in advance. There are no remedy costs bundled into it, and if your chart calls for a gemstone you are free to buy it from anyone at all.
The honesty. If the chart does not clearly answer your question, you will be told that, in either format.
Common questions
Is an online astrology reading less accurate than in person? No, for chart-based work. A birth chart is cast from your date, time and place of birth. Being in the same room adds nothing to the calculation. Palmistry is the exception — that needs your hands in front of me.
Do you use Google Meet or WhatsApp? Either, your choice. Google Meet handles weak connections better and allows screen sharing so you can see your chart. WhatsApp is simpler if you are in Bangladesh. Audio-only is fine.
Can I book an astrologer in Dhaka from abroad? Yes. Send your birth details, choose a time within 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Bangladesh time Saturday to Thursday, and pay by card or bank transfer. The fee is the same as for local clients.
Do I need to visit the chamber first before booking online? No. Many clients have never visited. The address is public and the phone number is answered, which is what matters.
How much does an online consultation cost compared to in person? The same — 1,000 BDT for any service, up to sixty minutes. See the full fee breakdown for how that compares across Dhaka.
Which languages are available? English, Bengali or Hindi, in both formats.
Can I record the session? Yes, and I would encourage it in either format.
What if I do not know my exact birth time? Say so when you book. Rectification works backwards from dated life events to narrow the ascendant to a workable window. It takes more preparation, not more money.
