Most astrology consultations in Dhaka cost between 500 and 3,000 BDT for a full session. Street and mazar astrologers charge 10–100 BDT for a few lines. Established chambers with a named astrologer usually sit in the 1,000–3,000 BDT range for a 45–60 minute reading. Well-known media astrologers can charge 5,000 BDT and above. At 360 Real Astrology the fee is 1,000 BDT for any service, up to 60 minutes, paid in advance.
That is the short answer. The longer answer matters more, because in Dhaka the price you are quoted is often not the price you end up paying.
Why nobody publishes their fees
Search for astrology prices in Dhaka and you will find almost nothing. There is a reason for that.
The common model here is a low entry fee followed by remedies. You pay 300 or 500 taka to sit down. Then you are told there is a dosha in your chart, and the dosha needs a stone, and the stone costs 15,000 taka, and the stone must be bought from the astrologer himself. The consultation was never the product. It was the doorway.
Keeping the fee unpublished is what makes that work. If the real cost of visiting an astrologer in Dhaka were written down anywhere, the model would stop functioning.
I publish mine for the opposite reason. One price, every service, no exceptions: 1,000 BDT.

These are the bands you will encounter across Dhaka. The important thing is not where a practitioner sits in this table — it is whether the fee they quote is the fee you pay.
The question that matters more than price
Before you book anyone, ask this: is buying a remedy a condition of the consultation?
If the answer is anything other than a clear no, the quoted fee is not the real cost.
A properly conducted reading may well end with a gemstone recommendation. Some charts genuinely call for one. But you should receive the full specification — the stone, the weight, the metal, the finger, and the auspicious time to wear it — and then be free to buy it anywhere you like. From me, from New Market, from a dealer in Chattogram, from nobody at all.
Many charts need no stone whatsoever. If an astrologer has never once told you that, ask yourself how likely it is that every single client who walks through the door happens to need something from the display case.
What 1,000 BDT covers here
One service, one session, up to sixty minutes.
Your chart is cast and studied before you arrive. Divisional charts, Vimshottari dasha periods and current transits are worked out in advance, not improvised while you sit there watching. That preparation is why the fee is paid before the session rather than after.
The session itself runs by phone, by video call, or in person at the Malibag chamber, in English, Bengali or Hindi. Afterwards you receive a written summary and a prioritised list of what to do next.
One subject per session. If you want to discuss your career and your marriage and your father’s health, that is three sessions, because compressing them into one hour means doing all three badly.
Overseas clients pay the equivalent by card or bank transfer. The fee does not change based on where you live or what you appear able to afford — a practice worth mentioning only because the opposite is so common.
Is a cheaper astrologer worse?
Not necessarily, and this is worth being honest about.
Price in this field correlates with marketing budget far more than with skill. There are extremely capable astrologers in Dhaka charging 500 taka who have never advertised in their lives and work entirely on word of mouth. There are also people charging 10,000 taka whose readings are generic enough to apply to anyone.
What actually separates a useful reading from a useless one:
- Is your chart prepared before the session? If they cast it in front of you in two minutes on a phone app, you are paying for the app.
- Can they show you their reasoning? Every statement should trace back to something specific — a yoga, a dasha lord, a transit. “I sense difficulty in your career” is not a reading.
- Do they tell you when the chart is unclear? Charts are frequently ambiguous. An astrologer who is certain about everything is certain about nothing.
- Do they give you timing, not just outcomes? “You will have career success” is worthless. “The window from March to August 2027 favours a change, and here is why” is a reading you can act on.
- Do they say no to anything? If every question gets an encouraging answer and every chart needs a remedy, you are being sold to.
What about free online kundali sites?
Use them. They are genuinely useful for casting an accurate chart, and there is no reason to pay anyone for something a free calculator does correctly.
What they cannot do is synthesise. A software report will tell you that Mars sits in your seventh house and print a generic paragraph about Mangal Dosha. It will not tell you that the dosha is cancelled by the aspect from Jupiter, or that the placement matters far less than the dasha period you are about to enter, or that the thing you are actually worried about is visible somewhere else in the chart entirely.
Free tools give you data. What you pay a person for is judgement about which parts of that data matter for your specific question.
Common questions about cost
Do I pay before or after the session? Before. Your chart is prepared and studied ahead of time, so the work begins before you arrive.
Is there a discount for multiple sessions? No. One price, every service, every client.
What if I am not satisfied? Ask your hard questions during the session rather than afterwards. A reading you cannot challenge is not worth paying for, and I would rather spend the hour answering scepticism than delivering a monologue.
Do you charge more for Kundali Milan than a birth chart reading? No. Marriage matching requires reading two charts and takes longer to prepare, but the fee is the same 1,000 BDT.
Can I get a reading if I do not know my exact birth time? Yes, and the fee does not change. Birth time rectification works backwards from dated life events to narrow the ascendant to a workable window.
Do you charge for the gemstone recommendation? The recommendation is part of the session. The stone, if you want one, is separate — and you are never required to buy it from me.
Before you book anyone in Dhaka
- Ask the total cost, including whether remedies are expected.
- Ask whether your chart will be prepared before the session.
- Ask what happens if the chart does not clearly answer your question.
- Ask whether you can record the session or receive a written summary.
- Notice whether they ever tell you that something is fine and needs nothing.
Five questions. Any practitioner worth 1,000 taka of your money will answer all of them without hesitation.
